What to Wear to a Rage Room

Before planning your trip, consider what to wear to a rage room.

Based on my experience with rage rooms, they require you to wear:

  1. Closed toe shoes
  2. Comfortable, non-ripped clothing
  3. Long-sleeve shirts

Without these, the management will not let you use their rooms. The following are provided by the rage room you’re visiting. But you can also buy your own:

  1. Masks (recommended)
  2. ANSI Z87.1 + Glasses
  3. Gloves
  4. Ear plugs

What To Wear

This is a list of what to wear to a rage room.

Closed Toe Shoes

Wear shoes that cover your toes.

You can easily injure your toes if they stick out during your rage room activity. The goal is to break stuff without breaking your toes.

Comfortable Clothes

Wear comfortable gym attire that allows movement.

There will be a lot of swinging, throwing, smashing, and other strenuous activities. It’s better to be comfortable while doing them.

Non-ripped Pants

Your trousers, pants, or jeans must not be ripped.

The skin should be covered during your anger room activities. You can easily hurt your elbows and knees (this is very common) or other body parts.

Long-sleeve Shirts

Your shirt sleeves should cover your entire arms.

Protecting your upper body parts is vital for your lower body. We’ve pretty much covered this in the previous heading.

Masks

There will be a lot of dust flying around.

It could irritate your lungs and affect your breathing. Things can get worse if you have allergies. So I would recommend you wear a mask.

But rage rooms typically do not have this as a must.

Safety Glasses

When you’re smashing screens, glass, or electronics, you will send a lot of debris flying.

It can get in your eye and cause injury. Hence, you must wear protective eyewear.

Rage rooms across the United States recommend ANSI Z87.1 + glasses; the “+” is important. But you can consult with the rage room you’re going to because they also sell them or have them as part of the package.

Gloves

You’re going to be swinging many weapons and breaking many things.

To avoid hand injuries, you must wear gloves. Rage rooms require you to wear them. The management will not allow you to use their rooms without the gloves.

Earplugs

It can get quite noisy in there.

So I would recommend that you buy a pair of noise-canceling earplugs.

Some rage rooms offer them as part of the packages; some don’t.

Coveralls

This is a must in the rage rooms; you do not have to buy them separately. Some rage rooms offer them as part of the package; others sell them for ~$10.

What Not To Wear

You must not wear the following to the rage rooms, or you might be denied entry:

  1. Short-sleeved shirt
  2. Sleeveless or tanktop
  3. Ripped jeans
  4. Shorts
  5. Crocs
  6. Sandals
  7. Jewelry
  8. Watches
